Without skipping a beat… intro to Beat Saber

I got to test out the crowd favourite today and I can definitely see why! It was so much fun and so addicting!

The objective of this game is to use your light sabers to ‘cut’ blocks that are coming at you to the beat of a song! Each hand is colour coordinated so you need to pay attention to which hand you use, which direction, how much force you use as well as avoid flying walls and bombs. You crouch, you move, you slash and occasionally, you throw yourself back nearly opening your skull against the fireplace when you encounter a ridiculously fast wall approaching you….that didn’t happen…..maybe.

As you increase the difficulty, it can totally pass as your cardio workout. Your heart starts racing and the adrenaline gets you moving. I’m thinking I need to start my day with this to keep the momentum going for the rest of the day (and maybe save on all the coffee?).

The music is really upbeat and rhythmical so if you have a bit of a rhythm, it makes the game more intuitive. The concept is pretty easy though so anyone can have a great time with this game!

You also have the option to purchase packs/individual songs/albums of more known artists but that is on top of the initial $35 investment. I am eyeing the Imagine Dragons and Linkin Park albums but there is still plenty to explore. Another feature I am looking forward to exploring is the multiplayer option where you can play with your friends.
